Welcome to the Emergent Bilingual Spotlight, an event dedicated to fostering greater understanding and collaboration as we work together to support the success of our Emergent Bilingual (EB) students at Fulshear High School. This initiative seeks to highlight the challenges faced by our EB learners while providing practical, impactful strategies that you can integrate into your classrooms. Our ultimate goal is to create an inclusive environment where language is not a barrier to success but a bridge to greater opportunities.

Emergent Bilingual students bring a wealth of linguistic and cultural diversity that enriches our school community. However, they often face unique obstacles in mastering academic content while simultaneously building their English proficiency. During this event, you will discover a variety of classroom strategies and learn how the ESL Department is here to support you in implementing them. From visual aids like anchor charts and flashcards to tools such as one-to-one dictionaries and graphic organizers, the techniques presented are designed to enhance engagement and comprehension across all subjects.
